Cloth diapers are better than they ever were! Parents who choose to cloth diaper no longer have to deal with pins and folding square pieces of cloth. Today’s diapers feature fleece that wicks moisture away from your baby’s bottom, and a waterproof outerlayer, usually made of PUL.
Cloth Diapers are Best Because:
- Disposable diapers are made out of plastic. This plastic does NOT allow your baby’s bottom to breathe. This can lead to diaper rash and an uncomfortable experience for your baby.
- Disposable diapers contain chemicals. Even if they deem these chemicals safe for babies, I do not see a reason to expose them to ANYTHING that is not necessary. These same chemicals roll off into our waterways when the diapers are place in landfills.
- Cloth diapers come in many cute colors and designs. These can be matched to your baby’s outfit for the day.
- Laundering cloth diapers is not a hassle as baby’s require so much laundering you won’t even notice.
- Using cloth diapers helps the environment. The average newborn goes through more than 12 diapers a day. If you’re using disposables those diapers end up in our landfills day after day.
- Cloth diapers are easy! They feature either velcro or snaps in order to make cloth diapering just as easy as using disposable diapers.
